Description

QUALIFICATIONS:  A high school diploma or GED and two years experience in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping, word processing, powerpoint and spreadsheet data entry is required.  Employee must be able to walk for 4 hours.  Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling.  Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 30 pounds.  Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation.  Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with people.  The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.

 

CONTRACT: 12 months (260 Days)

WORKING HOURS:  8 hours daily, usually between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

REPORTS TO:  Curriculum Administrators

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serves as district Testing Coordinator for local, state and national assessments.
  2. Works within required guidelines to coordinate ordering, disbursement, collection and return of testing materials.
  3. Attend Required State department of education training sessions for state testing
  4. Works directly with building testing coordinators to coordinate local, state, nation testing following required rules and procedures.
  5. Coordinates, administers, and scores state required assessments, including but not limited to, 8th grade reading proficiency testing for the district.
  6. Maintains accurate records and submits required reports to the state department of education.
  7. Creates, prints, distributes, and scores district assessments.  Prepares reports following district assessments.
  8. Maintains inventory of and accounts for required testing materials.
  9. Mails completed tests for scoring as required.
  10. Prepares testing results reports for district.
  11. Maintains testing computers, software, and other equipment.
  12. Informs counselors, principals, administration and building test coordinators regarding testing information and results.
  13. Collects and compiles data from annual District ARTS Assessment reports as required by the SDE.
  14. Coordinates district professional development by scheduling training facilities, managing workshop registration and sending reminders to participants.
  15. Provide clerical support for student assessment and instructional technology department (Answer phone, greet visitors).
  16. Responsible for maintaining existing filing system.
  17. Manages and distributes daily incoming and outgoing mail, copies and faxes for Testing Department.
  18. Prepares District Presentations.
  19. Prepares handouts for District Professional Development and set up training room.
  20. Manages Substitute Calling System (AESOP).
  21. Receives and Files Substitute Applications, after inputting information into the AESOP system.
  22. Trains Substitutes in AESOP systems (show them how to login and how to accept jobs.)
  23. Maintains current list and report of active substitutes.
  24. Assigns, Organizes and Distributes the FOSS kits to the teachers at the elementary sites, and orders FOSS kit critter orders.
  25. Schedules Coverage for the Front Desk and Front Door Security when needs to be gone.
  26. Performs other duties as assigned.
