Contract:        12 Months / 8 hours daily usually from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Grade:             V

 

QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or GED and specialized vocational experience in or after high school in a business office.  Two or three years experience is required in accounting, bookkeeping, word processing and data entry. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheet, word processing and Ten-Key.  Two or three years experience dealing with employee benefits and payroll.  Experience in Oklahoma School Personnel Data and Procedures is preferred.  Job requires typing at 60 WPM at 90% accuracy.  This employee must possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, typewriter, calculator and pencil.  Job requires repetitive actions involving simple and firm grasping. Job requires frequent carrying/lifting up to 35 pounds.  Job requires frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching and occasionally reaching above the shoulder.  Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to use equipment and communicate with employees, vendors and other schools/agencies.  Good people skills required.  The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Schedules, completes meeting and does new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment with new support employees.
  2. Calculates, codes and  inputs Request For Contracts, Change Of Status, Additional Compensations, Notice  of Separation from Employment, etc.  docs into personnel and payroll.
  3. Calculates salaries based on days worked for each employee based on work schedule for that individual.
  4.  Processes and enters all payroll fringes and deduction codes.
  5.  Enters and reconciles payroll information.
  6.  Processes contracts.
  7. Assists district employees with leave, paperwork, benefits and coding questions.
  8. Assists and answers employee questions regarding Payroll and Benefits.
  9. Processes and maintains Workers Comp, FMLA, LOA, etc..
  10. Prepares employment verifications for support employees.
  11. Assists in routine payroll functions/distribution of paychecks.
  12. Establishes, updates  and/or maintains existing filing system.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
